In the summer of 2000 we bought our dream lot in a rural setting south of Asheville. Over the next four years we got ideas together and searched for the perfect builder. Upon focusing on Forward Construction, we toured several of his previously built homes and talked to their owners. The impression of impeccable quality was uniform as was the complete satisfaction of previous clients. A visit to a home under construction revealed an immaculate building site. Our general ideas for our home were refined by Forward Construction's design-build program. As construction proceeded we were 350 miles away and were able to visit the site only sporadically and at long intervals. Nonetheless construction proceeded on schedule and at the highest level of quality. We moved in on the exact day promised fifteens months from breaking ground. The house was perfect at that time and over the ensuing year any minor problems that arose were handled expeditiously by Jim and his crew. Two years after moving in we added an outdoor room, so naturally turned to Forward Construction. This past summer we added solar hot water and expanded our cisterns for collecting rainwater, once again retaining the services of Forward Construction.
